The gaming industry is a $160 billion industry and growing. The gaming industry has been evolving rapidly in recent years as developers are getting more creative, the industry itself becoming more competitive and importantly today’s consumers becoming more demanding.

Game companies have been able to take advantage of the ever-increasing technology by creating games in which players can participate with other players around the world. Top brands have been embracing gamification to improve their branding and sales. The sudden increase in the scope of the industry in recent years had led to a proportional surge in the demand for skilled professions in game development and design.

This elective in Game Development will focus on the underlying concepts of the entire game development process. Students will practically learn and excel in using game engines such as Unity3D and Unreal 4 to create fully playable 2D and 3D games. Students will be taught concepts of computer graphics through the use of OpenGL, and DirectX IDEs. To provide students with profound knowledge in game development, this elective will also focus on the entire conceptualization of games through game design modules like level design, game design principles, game world design, and monetization of games.

Pass in an Undergraduate (Bachelor) Program of a minimum duration of three (3) years in any stream from a UGC Recognized University, with a minimum aggregate of 50% or an equivalent letter/numerical grade. A relaxation of 5% shall be given to SC/ST candidates
